Card condition
Version 2 of 2 October 2026
Single card conditions
- NM Near Mint
- Looks like a card that has never been played: sharp corners, no scratches. At most one or two tiny white specks on the edges, visible only up close.
- EX Excellent
- Very nice condition with light signs of wear: a few white specks on the corners or edges, fine scratches visible under light. No creases.
- GD Good
- Clearly visible wear: many white specks, worn edges, scratches or light dirt. No creases and no water damage.
- LP Light Played
- Heavily used card: pronounced wear all over, rounded corners, possibly a light crease. It remains intact and playable in a sleeve.
- PL Played
- Card badly damaged by use: marked creases, damaged corners, clearly visible marks or discolouration. It has not been altered.
- POOR Poor
- Damage beyond normal wear: tear, water damage, stains, writing, or an altered card (recoloured edges, trimmed).
Sealed product conditions
- Sealed, packaging intact
- Original packaging closed and intact: no tear, dent or visible mark.
- Sealed, minor packaging wear
- Original packaging closed, with small defects: slightly dented corner, small mark or lightly damaged wrap.
- Sealed, damaged packaging
- Clearly damaged packaging (dent, torn wrap, discolouration); the contents remain sealed.
How we assess a card
Every card is examined out of its sleeve, front and back, under strong light: corners, edges, surface and centering. When hesitating between two conditions, we choose the lower one. Our scale follows Cardmarket's, the reference in Europe: there, “LP” (Light Played) means a card more worn than a “Good” one, unlike the “Lightly Played” used on American websites.
The photos show the copy sold
We publish one listing per copy: the photos or scans of a single card show, front and back, the exact card you will receive. They are part of its description and complete it; when the condition is not stated on the listing, they are what shows it. Take the time to enlarge them before buying and, if in doubt, write to us before ordering.
Manufacturing defects
Small defects present from printing, such as off-centering, print lines or print dots, are not wear: they do not change the card's condition. They remain visible on the photos and, when they are pronounced, we mention them in the description.
Graded cards
The grade of a graded card is given by the grading company (PSA, BGS, CGC…) and reflects its assessment at the time of grading: we do not change it. The certificate number appears on the listing and can be checked on the company's website. Small scratches or marks on the case are normal; they are visible on the photos and have no effect on the grade.
Sealed products
The condition of a sealed product describes its packaging, according to the scale above. Booster contents are random: no specific card is guaranteed.
If the condition does not match
If an item you receive does not match its description or photos, contact us within the time limits set out in our return policy: we will take it back.
